National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia’s central securities depository, and Mongolian Central Securities Depository Co., Ltd., have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The signing ceremony took place 10 April within the framework of the official visit of representatives from the CSDs of Iran and Mongolia to Russia. The ceremony took place at the Moscow Exchange Forum.
The parties agreed to develop cooperation across various spheres of activity of central securities depositories, exchanging information on the national stock markets and services (including depository, monetary and settlement, information, and other services), as well as via the activities of the regional associations of central securities depositories.
The parties also agreed to hold regular meetings across various levels, and to conduct joint events and staff trainings.
After signing the Memorandum, the participants held bilateral meetings on exchanging experiences. This was the first step in implementing Memorandum arrangements, and it will strengthen cooperation between the CSDs.
